The Practice of Neighbourhood Gatherings and Collective Knowledge-Making in Puszczykowo - a small town nestled in the heart of the Wielkopolski National Park.

In 2025/2026, I will be hosting a series of philosophical and psychological neighbourhood gatherings in Puszczykowo, at Villa Mimoza. During these meetings, we will explore the relationships between situated knowledge, human developmental psychology, and metaphysics. Local knowledge-making practices and community processes form, for me, a key element of the idea of philosophy as world-making.

Drawing on the thought of authors such as Donna Haraway, Federico Campagna, Timothy Morton, Ursula K. Le Guin, Zygmunt Bauman, Graham Harman, Olga Tokarczuk, and Sigmund Freud, we will reflect on the relationships between place - Puszczykowo, developmental psychology, and metaphysics, while considering the complexities of identity and rootedness.

The first part of the project will take place in summer, on warm evenings, in neighbourhood gardens. The second part, in autumn and winter, will bring us to the magical Villa Mimoza, where we will continue our shared conversations and reflections during autumn evenings.
